Hello,

First time post, long time lurker.

I have my medical for my K1 Visa on Monday, and today I was gathering together all of the documents I require. To my horror, looking at my UK Police Cert, there is a typo. It lists my nationality as British whereas in fact I'm Irish. I plan on bringing both my Irish passport, my Irish Police Cert as well as my UK Police Cert (been living here since 2013) to the medical. I'm worried now though that they will not perform the medical as I have this typo on the form. I have already contacted ACPO about this error but from peoples' experiences, will they be OK with this? Should I cancel the medical until I have my corrected police cert or should I attend. I will contact KB Medical on Monday but I was wondering if anyone has had something similar happen to them and what the outcome was.

Thanks,

Patrick

Knightsbridge doesn't care. They just want to see if you have arrests for drugs, alcohol, fights...so they can delve into your mental health portion of the exam which includes addictions. It is just a tool they use to check you out. As long as your face matches the photo, then they won't be worried about the nationality. The embassy might care, so get it corrected before the interview if you are concerned.

Thanks Nich-Nick! I'll contact ACRO Monday to remedy the typo. I don't have any convictions in either the UK or Ireland, but was just a bit worried all the same.

I'll bring both the original and the corrected cert to the interview then in case there's any confusion.
