hello everyone,

I have got a checklist and my wife's last name is wrong. Checklist was not related to her last name, however, it's indicated principle applicant last name was wrong. What to do? I called in NVC twice, first time they said, send your wife's passport copy through email on asknvc@stage.gov. I did already last week. I have not heard from them. Second time I called, they said I did not need to worry about. They will update the name accordingly. I am so close to get my case completion. What would happen if they do not update the last name? Any idea or suggestions? Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have not been through this situation, however, I have read about it on this site. If they do not fix the name, then when you get the visa you will have to take the visa in and get in fixed which from my understanding is not a problem.

You have taken the necessary steps. There is nothing else to be done at this time as far as I can tell. Good luck.
