My husband was approved for his I-601A Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver 5/23/14. My lawyer is taking her time with letting us know what is the next step...How long does is take currently to get an interview once you have submitted the DS-260 form online?? PLEASE HELP STRESS IS KILLING ME!!!

wow certainly usually not that long even with NVC being much slower. you may want to call NVC yourself and see what the hold up is because Mexico usually schedules interviews within about 3-4 weeks of NVC case completion. the other website immigrate2us.net has alot of i601a timeline forums. I have seen people over there with waivers approved from september already back here in US after interview.

my lawyer is saying it could be more like 6 months!! I am wondering on where she gets this information because soooo many people say it is quick!! He was arrested back in 2008 but his charges were dropped do you think he will have a issue during his interview??

no idea about the arrest issue. go over to the other website immigrate2us.net , there are tons of people in the same boat as you and ones that already did their interviews and provide insight to what can still be brought up there. But, if I were you, i would call NVC today myself and ask what they are still waiting for in order to close the case because to me it seems like a long time.
