Hey there,
I am a international student studying at a Canadian University.
I took a part-time job as a cashier in a Video shop about 2 years ago. One day, Police showed up and arrested me for counterfeiting and fraud.
I explained to them that I am not the owner and have no knowledge of the counterfeiting.
They released me half hour latter without charge. I was never fingerprinted and never given a ticket to appear in the court.
I did a certified criminal background check on myself and come back clean.
Right now, I am applying J1 visa within Canada.
I have the following documents for interview:
RCMP fingerprint based criminal background check result
Police clearance letter
Court record search result.(showing no record found)
Do i have a chance at the Visa interview with this arrest?
Thanks ahead,
Jenifer

I don't think it is a problem, you are being honest and that counts.
