I am a CR1 visa applicant, just want to confirm that I don't need to schedule an interview date at the ustraveldocs website, is that correct?

I, for some reason scheduled an interview there even if the NVC sent me an email about my interview date, and if I cancel the interview schedule I set on the website I am hoping that it won't cause me any problem.

thank you for those who will respond to my inquiry.

NVC schedules interviews for IR/CR-1, you do not schedule on ustraveldocs.

im kinda on the same boat as u. nvc gave me an interview date. but still i scheduled a more advance interview appt than nvc date @ ustraveldocs. i was having 2nd thought on the early appt date so i reschedule again @ ustraveldocs with a date same as date as the original nvc scheduled date just in case. the lesson here for me is to stick with the schedule interview date the nvc has given me. keeping it simple less stress :)

if u schedule an early appt @ ustraveldocs.com/ph and ur casefile from nvc isnt ready yet when u show up for

that early appt, u will be turn away by the embassy. so unless u have, just dont gamble it and follow the original nvc scheduled appt date to usem manila. coz for sure ur casefile will be ready when u get there.

Yes Mr Hank I am aware of that, it wasn't intentional. I was actually messing around the ustraveldocs site and thought that i can print a form about the pick up preference of the visa after the interview. I guess due to sleep deprivation for days I didn't realize immediately what I was doing haha. Thank you for confirming!

what do you mean?

J4rom oh no I picked the same day because the eraliest dates available are Dec 17 and 23. Besides I am not ready, I am still preparing for my medical exam. Best of luck to both of us!
