My Fiance is my current sponsor and we also have a co-sponsor. My primary sponsor (fiance), hasn't worked for a full year because of a previous divorce and being a homemarker. Taxes have not been done yet, so I assume a letter from my Fiances emplyoer is a feasible option. My fiance has worked for 6 month.

On the affidavit of support forms (i-134), it has a question related to employment: I derive an annual income of?

The problem:

My fiance has not worked for a full year, and the hours of the job vary from week-to-week.

My fiance was originally hired for 20h/w, but this isn't the case give the hours are variable each week.

Should my fiance average their wages based on what has currently been earnt and project it ahead as an estimate for the year forthcoming?

Should my fiance basically put down what has currently been earnt only?

Should my fiance put down an average based on my 20h/w?

The figures vary depending on what I put into the calculator, but I do not want to lie or be caught out for something innocent as this in the future for other plans ahead.

My fiances employer can write a letter stating the hours and rate she was hired for and say her anual income is a"as much as ___ anually" is that a specific enough?

Can somebody help me please?

Best regards,

Figure out the average hours worked per week over the last 6 months, multiply by the pay rate times 52 weeks. That will give your average annual salary, and this is what you should put down on the I-134. You should also include this amount in the employer letter, and provide a few pay stubs as well.
