K1 Vaccination Assesment

I know this is a long shot but I thought I would ask.

I called up the local doctors office, who also does immigration exams, to have my wife get her vaccinations, they took blood and tested to see which vaccinations they needed to give her. They did end up giving her 4 vaccines. I get about 4 calls from the office each time telling me something different. The last time the person I spoke with told me that my wife needed to schedule with a different doctor in the office to have a Medical exam. I tried repeatedly to explain to her that we just needed a vaccine assessment, she kept telling me that my wife needed a full examination. I told her that she had it done previously in Dominican Republic and she was here on a K1 Visa and according to the paperwork she needed a vaccine assessment. She then stated that she was only trying to help me and if she didn't get the full exam then we would get the paperwork sent back to us. I once again tried to explain that if she read the instructions on the form, she did not need the full exam, she just needed the vaccination assessment, I got the you need a exam line again and then just asked to come pick up her medical records and tests. Really frustrated as this is the last thing that needs to be completed.

Does anyone know reputable doctors in the San Diego area who do vaccine assessments?

No, she had her Medical in Santo Domingo. Vaccines are not required at the time for the K1 Visa. I figured it was much cheaper to have the vaccines done here since she is now covered by my insurance. Now that we are married we need to do her AOS.

Oh yes....well...I had that same issue, getting the vaccines in the DR or not.. I searched about it, found out that some civil surgeons would insist for the medical, others didn't know about the immigration process and the forms and some others will charge way too much money, so I ended up getting the vaccines in the DR....and I only had to send the vaccine worksheet for the AOS.

I found this thread here in VJ, check it out, it will give you info about civil surgeons that know what they are doing in the San Diego area. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/page-6 or maybe someone else can give you a better reference.

But, if her medical in the DR was more than a year ago, then maybe she would need the full medical...I can be wrong, so others here can correct me about that.

Good luck :)
