waiting for official checklist or no

Hello,

I have been waiting on the 60 day review of the AOS for 52 days now and I just noticed that tax transcripts for the recent year were not included. I called the NVC and they said send it and include the cover sheet from the CEAC website. The case has not been reviewed as yet so I don't officially have a checklist.

Should I wait for an official checklist to see if the tax transcript was the only thing missing? Or do I send this right away and hope that everything else is ok.

From what I have been understanding on here, and anybody can correct me if I am wrong, you can send it in, but when it is received and scanned, this will generate and send the 60 day email, and I believe that resets the 60 day timeframe for when they will review your docs.

This is how I have been understanding the process, but like I said, if I am wrong I am sure someone will correct me.

On another note...you never know what will happen. There always seems to be exceptions. Good luck. :)

You should wait for the checklist from NVC. If your AOS is approved, there would be no need to send the tax returns. But if you are told to send the recent tax returns, you will have to send a new affidavit of support along with it. So there is no meaning of sending the transcripts alone.

Thanks for both responses!
