DCF filing has not been stopped or affected in Indiia. The Delhi office in India has not been affected by the latest policy issue since they are a USCIS service center. not only have i read things online and in VJ but i also called the embassy.

Good Luck to Raj , Hope your wifes interview goes well , im praying for mine , Rizthomson im in consulting and based in dallas for last couple of years. my home in india is in Bombay but since my wife's home was in new delhi and she spend most time there so i filed paperwork for her in new delhi. Well I wish everyone best of luck including manu and sam, hope you should get ur visa soon.

Thanks

For those of you doing CR/IR1 process and have already gone for the interview or will be in the next week or two.. I wanted to inquire about the whole VCF process.

On the Mumbai site, it says that all the required documents need to be submited to your local VCF office. Does this also include the results from the medical exam? The reason I ask is that my wife is in Rajkot Gujarat, the medicals can only be done in Mumbai, and VCF states that all documents need to be submited 10 days prior to the interview.

So would that mean my wife would need to go to mumbai and get her medical done so she can submit it 10 days prior to the interview? Or can she go to the VCF office in Ahamdabhad and submit all the documents except the medical and do that a couple of days before the interview and take the results with her for the interview?

Also, at the VCF, what are the total fees that need to be paid?

Thanks guys

My husband took his medical info with him since he only had the medical done the week before the interview. and i htink thats normal.

total fees were something like 330 rupees.

thats each time you make a visit

so we dropped off the 3.5 packet right after the I130 interview and then dropped off packet 4 right before the visa interview. so we had to pay the fee 2 times.

Im not understanding the different locations you listed below.......

but im pretty sure that you need to submit papers to your vfs office that is where your going to be interviewed. your nearest vfs office should be the same as where your being interviewed. just check on this because i would hate to see you drop off your papers and have them lost...........

My wife had successful interview at Mumbai consulate yesterday .She got in at 7:30 and came out at 1:00 pm.

Your wife does not need to submit medical report at VFS, Ahmedabad, YOu can do it 1 or 2 days prior and carry with you during the interview. The VFS fee is just Rs.365 which is courier fee.Other than that i don't think any.

She was able to pick visa same day from the consulate.

P.S Documents submission at VCF is before 15 days not 10 days. They will not accept it b4 10 days.

Hope this helps.

The Rs365 is that paid in cash or does it have to be a bank draft?

Also, does she have to Ahmedabad in person, or can she have someone go their on her behalf? She'll already has to go to Ahmedabad for her Police clearence certificate, and I want to avoid her taking another trip just to drop of the documents if it's not neccessary.. it's about a 4 hour drive each way.

Thanks

Hey

just so no one is confused .........

you must submit your papers NO LATER than 10 days before the interview

AND no earlier than 15 days before the interview

so you have a 1 week window to submit your papers

dont count holidays or weekends

if your confused just tell me the date your interview is and i will tell you the date range your allowed to submit your papers.

anything that isnt subitted that week will have to be carried to the interview for submitting

not to worry if its only 1 or 2 items.

and you pay the VFS in cash
