Interview reschedule (earlier) contact

Hi,

Has been going nuts for the last few hours, wondering if anyone here can help me.

I have been trying to get an earlier interview appointment (original Dec 16th) , sent the request through the link below last week

http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html last Tuesday.

I have not got any response yet as for now, really afraid that if they sent the response through mail (as I just moved) instead of email. Tried calling the embassy directly through the general board number on the website, then dial 0 to get to a lady (in reception I assume). She told me the whole visa system is down, and no one can see any information. I am really scared if I miss the letter sent by them, then probably miss the rescheduled appointment.

Wondering if anyone has tried contact the immigration team in London embassy through phone (the link will take up to 5 work days). What should I do in this situation, keep calling embassy, or send the request again through the link?

Appreciate any inputs!

Alex

If they give you a new date, they will respond to your email and tell you the date. They won't issue a new mailed letter. Bear in mind, everybody wants an earlier date in December and many of the American interviewing officers and embassy staff may be scheduling holidays during that time too. So they may not have any slots to offer you. If something opens up, you could get an email or phone call asking if you can be there in two days. That has happened....a phone call saying "can you come tomorrow"?

Thank you.

I guess that will be ideal case. The most recent reschedule I heard (another member on this forum) asked for reschedule couple weeks ago and got a mail in a about a week with a new date, he didn't get any email or phone call. That's why it worries me, I guess there is not much to do other than just wait until the system is up and calling back.

We are waiting to hear back from the embassy, as well.

Our interview is scheduled for Dec 9th. We are hoping to get an earlier date so we don't have to reschedule our wedding but if not, at least, my fiance will be home by Christmas.

Maybe if you free up the 9th, they can give it to hxw177 :P

To the best of my knowledge the phone number to the embassy goes to Non-immigrant visas. My fiance tried contacting the department handing Immigrant visas with no success. Was told that there was no number to contact them and to send request online.

So, with that said, who's system is down? Non-immigrant or Immigrant services?

My fiance messaged them last week regarding our interview date and they did respond back with the interview last week.

Then reply message was sent next day, Friday. We should get a reply back by the end of this week.

Weird I sent the request wed, never had a response.

Yes you are right, the number listed is for non-immigration scheduling, it is a center out of embassy, they told me they had no idea how to reschedule or even contact immigration visa team.

I had to call the embassy general number and dialed 0 to talk to someone, was told the whole visa service system is down since Monday. check out the link below, it is also on the embassy home page. not sure if its only affecting London embassy.
