Hello Vj Members,

another question i wanted to ask and find out, if i am able to get my case number with in a week or so, God Willing - I then send an email to NVC expedite department to see if i can get it expedited and approved with the embassy and if I do get approved do i still have to be under the 60 days wait period at the NVC or not.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello, I believe you dont need to wait 60 days and right after your expedite request is approved your case is sent to embassy. But in fact you dont need to wait for case number before asking for expedite. If you called NVC and have it confirmed that they already received your case but dont have the case number assigned yet, you can send your expedite request using only USCIS lin number. You have to write in your request that your case was already received but dont have case number assigned yet. It could save you few days. you can wait on your case number while your expedite request is "under review". But you need to make sure they physically have the case with them already. If they didnt receive it yet they will write you back that they have no record of your case
