If I understand correctly you fathers name is not on your birth certificate but your U.S. fiancée wrote it on the G-325a form or another form, The forms do not say to take information directly off of the birth certificate although many do because it is there inmost cases, but the form just asks for the information. I would have done the same thing, because the question will be asked, you either have to answer it honestly if known or put unknown if not known.

I would just gather any information you have to prove that the name on the form submitted is accurate, the question may or may not come up now. But there is a chance it will come up either before the visa process is done or the immigration process itself is done. So if you gather what proof you can now the easier it will be later and if the question comes up or NVC asks it or the consulate asks for the information you will have. If they do not you never know you may need it later on in life.

If you do not have any written proof, they may asks that you get a swarn statement to such or may not. If no written proof is available then my only suggestion would be to wait and see. Maybe someone else who has the same problem will read this thread and offer better advice.

Best of wishes

yes you are right.. its the form g325a.. we are under rapid visa and we asked this matter and they said its ok to put my fathers name in any form even he is not listed in my birth certificate.. i insisted to my fiancee that dont put him there but he followed the agency instead.. i dont know if this affect the nvc process cause we been at ap at nvc for a month and we dont knows whats up with our case to put in ap.. but i have my authorization from the lawyer about this matter...i still hope they wont question this and delay the process.. thanks a lot as i got worried for this..

well experience has taught me that even though I do worry about some things, it does not do any good.

Do everything you can do and compile whatever data you can and try to relax worrying does little to no good, praying and preparing for the next step and to be with fiancée does do some good though.

If you are under the rapid visa process then hopefully things will break lose you for you soon.
