Ladies I'm trying my best to keep calm but every time I come to VJ my heart just shrinks when I see an approval and I quickly run to see if any of my applications have been approved and nothing. The lawyer keeps saying that my petition might be taking longer than usual to get approved because they are looking very closely at people from certain orgins. Should I be worried that my petition fell off the face of the earth? I mean if you look at my time line you will see that we are still wating for a NOA2 for both the I130 with NOA1 since June 15th and the I129F with NOA1 since July 17th. Is this normal for an NOA2? I mean we are going on 210 days and still nothing from our I-I30. When I call the USCIS service line to ask about my petitions they say that the I129F is still in normal processing times because they are barely processing applications with NOA1 of July 16. Thats so much ...... beacuse there are lots of people from this web site that have applived in oct and nov and they are already appoved.

I guess what I want to know is if your applications took as long to get an approval due to on the orgin of your husband or fiance? :crying:Is the time that Ihave been waiting for normal for NOA2 for both applications?

Hello! I'm sorry I can’t offer learned advice, as I don’t know much about K3. Maybe by answering your mail, it will go to the top of the pile again, and someone who knows better may answer. What about posting in the K3 forum? I notice you have a lawyer – isn’t there anything he/she could do? What about contacting a congressman? I don’t know if that is an option or not, at this point.

There are so many people from so many different origins, I would think that they wouldn’t pay so much attention to that, but mostly only the applications & document proof provided.

My own personal thought is: it is ridiculous to be waiting so long. Applications are being approved with dates after yours. If I was in your position, I would be desperate to confirm that the application wasn’t accidentally under the sea in some storage barge!

Good luck – I'm routing for approval soon for both of you!

Theoretically, he should be on the same level as a multi-generation English/Scotch/Welsh--in practice, ethnicity may play a part in USCIS officious' decisions to cause delays, etc.
