Sorry if this is redundant. Our case is now complete and I just thought I'd share my experience.

Call all the time. Once a day or more if you want to. I would get several employees in a row who would tell me absolutely nothing about my case before someone would take the time to actually look at my file. After probably 7 or 8 phone calls where I was told my file was "processing" someone actually looked at our physical file and noticed there were packages that "should have been opened months ago." She forwarded our case to a supervisor where it was approved and sent to the embassy in London within a week. Obviously this is not going to happen with every case, but I do feel that had we not constantly contacted the NVC regarding our file, we'd still be waiting. Even after our case was forwarded to a supervisor, I called every few days to be sure that was actually happening. Again, I was told multiple times that they couldn't tell me anything until another kind woman looked into my case and said our physical file was on a supervisor's desk and that it would be handled "well within" 14 days. They do have the answers, for some reason they are simply reluctant to give them to you.

Good luck everyone, it's worth the wait!
