Hi guys,

My i 130 petitioned by my wife was approved by uscis but NVC case number is pending.

Can I get PCC without any requirement letter from NVC?

Because some people tell that you do require letter from nvc to get pcc and some says that it's not required.

Has anyone got PCC from surat without NVC letter?

Yes u can get the PCC without NVC letter, just use ur USCIS I-130 approval letter to get the PCC.

You can get it without NVC letter, just take I130 approval to the passport office. i did the same in Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh.

We didn't show the NVC letter to obtain my spouse's PCC in Delhi at Regional Passport Services. We told them that it is for US immigration authorities. You can show your copy of NVC letter or I-130 approval (note: Most Indian officers don't know what I-130 approval letter means). You can tell them that it is for US immigration authorities.

We obtained another PCC from local Police station, too.

Hello

I got PCC by giving photocopy of NOA2 and also gave a printout of documents required from the website travel.state.gov. But I guess photocopy of NOA2 should be enough. This is in Bangalore.

Go to below website. Feel out the PCC form and schedule the appointment online by making a payment. My wife went Ahmedabad Passport office and they ask for no document at all. She did had I-130 approval letter and passport related document. If your passport is new then they will issue PCC same time. If not then they will send letter to local police station and they will call u in 2 or 3 weeks time line. Once they will go through your file and verify everything they will send ok letter to Ahmedabad Passport office. Then you have go back again to get PCC letter from Ahmedabad passport office. Whole process took good 30 days so if you want save time start your PCC now. My wife was from Anand so now everyone has to go to Ahamedabad. Not sure what will apply in your case.
