Hi everyone now that fiancé has k1 visa in hand and would like to fly to united states the end of November or beginning of December, is it ok to buy a one way ticket to the states? Does the airport want to see a return flight? But it does not make sense to have return flight because he is not returning until after he gets green card. Please let me know. Thanks

Buy which ever is cheaper. If it is a one-way ticket that is fine. For us a RT was about $1200 cheaper than the one-way. If you do purchase a RT, be sure to cancel the retuirn leg to avoid any probelms if the airlines screw up and sell the seat but do not take him off the flight manefest. I purchased the return leg for 89 days after her arrival just in case.

Good luck,

Dave
