High school diploma from EU in the US

I want to know if my high school diploma from my homecountry Greece is ok in the United States.

I want to take a real estate course in Miami dade college and they require ssn(that I got) and high school diploma. Is my european high school diploma recognized here in the states ????

Of course it would be recognized. But you do have to get your records translated and certified. I have no idea how that works though.


Also once you have AOS approved, you can receive financial aid for college. And before anyone decides to have a heart attack, the answer is NO financial aid for school is not a means tested benefit and is not counted in public charge definition.

Greatttttt!!!! Great!!! Thank u for the reply!!! I feel more relief that I have no to do the GED test or start all over the beginning with classes again.... Awesome!!! Translate papers in Greece are kinda hard it takes forever...

You're welcome. By the way, you could get them translated here, they don't have to be translated in Greece. All you need from them is to have the records certified for use outside of Greece if they aren't certified already. You may want to contact the college to see if they require anything specific, but they usually just need the records and the translation. For example, in my country I think they have to be certified by the education department and then legalized, but every country is different.

They should, but they might charge you a pretty penny. I'm sure that there are other places that can have them translated. Try the embassy first to see how much they charge. Again, you want to find out with the college first to see what they need so that you know what to do.
