I, the petitioner, have been living abroad for over 10 years with no income. My retired relative is going to be my husband's (the beneficiary) joint sponsor. The joint sponsor's wife passed away in December. He has requested his tax transcripts, but they show his wife's income as well. The AOS instructions say to include only tax transcripts if they're being submitted. If I include tax transcripts for the last three years, 1040s (to show the joint sponsor's income), a death certificate for his wife and a written explanation, will that be suffice?

Also, the joint sponsor's pension (of which he has a yearly W2) and social security add up to more than enough, so he will not need to include assets. Is there anything else to consider?

Sorry if this is super obvious, but I couldn't find another scenario that is comparable! Thank you for any advice.
