Anyone have any tips for speeding up the process of getting a work permit? Is it faster to file work permit seperate from AOS?

Also, any tips on getting marraige certificate asap? I've heard from some folks that it can take 1-2 months to receive this?

If you file for EAD separate from AOS then you would need to wait until you had got the NOA1 for your AOS before you could file for the EAD.... makes more sense to file altogether... there is no way to speed it up other than ensuring you have a complete AOS package so you dont get a RFE as that can slow done your EAD approval...

As for the marriage certificate we took the licence back to the town hall records office and asked how long it would be to get the certificate.. we were told 3 weeks if it was mailed or 2 hours if we wanted to pay the extra fee and we were happy to call back... so check with the office where you will get your license from...

There is no faster way to get the work permit. For most people it comes in under 90 days (as it is supposed to) but there isn't anyway to speed this up....just ways to slow it down (like with an RFE, not always avoidable).
