Hello Everyone!

We have our AOS interview scheduled for February 20 in the San Antonio, TX office. Anyone has had their interview with "Officer 44"?

If so, what was your experience like? Is s/he a nice person? Any thoughts will be appreciated!

I'm not sure if officers are rotated, but maybe there is the chance that officer 44 is always the same person.

Thanks a lot!!!

our AOS interview is on Feb 16. so i will let you know about our experience. something stranged happened to us. we received our interview letter before the biometrics appoitment notification. isn't that strange? did that happen to you? and did you have to get another physical exam and vaccinations done? my wife had it done on jan 2006 in Thailand, but on the AOS letter it states that we have to bring a sealed envelope of her exam and vaccinations if we haven't done so. if it's over 1 year old, does she have to get another physical exam. and vaccinations? don't want to spend more money than i have to. i think we will have to spend about $135 at Pro Med and that is not including vaccinations. any advice is appreciated.

AJ

hi AJ,

Yeah, please do post your experience about your interview. Best of luck!

No, we did receive the letters in order. I don't think it matters as the process is divided into different offices (biometrics, and AOS). Actually, the biometrics is performed by independent contractors, so they are not even government officials.

We actually missed our biometrics appointment, which was scheduled for Dec 02, 2006. For some reason our lawyer got confused and did not tell us about it. Then when we found about it (a month after the biometrics appt) we simply went to the biometrics place and they took them for us right then.

I would just say to go ahead and get a medical again. You wouldn't want to risk any delay in your case. I think consulates can send this information to the USCIS, but it may take longer, or get bureaucratically complicated. I know we have to spend a lot of money into this, but hopefully this will be one of the last things you have to spend money on for your residency. I had a second medical and vaccinations taken for my AOS, so that would be my best advice.

Thanks!

If your medical was over a year ago, you will need another medical but you do NOT need to repeat vaccinations! You should have a copy of your DS-3025 vaccination record from your panel physician overseas. Give that to a civil surgeon (who will also do your medical) who will transcribe it to an I-693a which you will need to submit with your AOS.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
