Hi Everyone,

I just want some clarification on something if possible please. When my Wife sends in the documents at the NVC stage does she need to send in my Birth Certificate or is that something I take along with me when i have my interview.

Also we sent in with the initial application a Passport photo for each, do we need to do this again when we send in the Application of Sponsorship.

Best regards

Ryan

All of the civil documents for the intending immigrant have to be sent to the NVC. The documents have to be originals ie certified copies. Therefore, you may have to FedEx your birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate, etc to her so that she can prepare everything and send it to the NVC. To defray shipping costs, gather everything you will need so that you can send it to her all in one package. This is how I have done it for my own case and two others I have helped.

Yes. You have to send whatever is required for your case in order to avoid delays in your case. Also, I assume you are the applicant and not the petitioner, right? Because the civil docs only have to be for you specifically, not for your spouse, with the exception of the marriage cert which of course applies to both of you.

Do we also need to send 2 more passport Photos of mine ?
