Dear All,

My Brother applied for me and my family back in 2001 (F4).

The case is in NVC and he already even paid IV fee($230 each)for all family members.

Now my brother just found that he made a mistake back in 2001 when he first fill up the form. He put wrong date for my son's DOB. So, my question is how does my brother correct my son's DOB? Can anyone please tel me what to do now?

Thanks a lot.

The date of birth is wrong where? On the form or the birth certificate?

So the birth certificate is correct? If so he should call NVC and see if they can correct or he will correct at interview,

the DOB is wrong in very first form my brother filled up back in 2001. the DOB is right in Birth certificate.

So, should he notify NVC now or just wait for the interview?

*** BTW, he is yet to fill up DS-260 for us.

Thanks

Oh I thought that was done my apologies. He will put the correct info there. The DS-260 is the actual Immigration Visa application and must match the name on passport and dates on birth certificate. So you are okay. Good.

Thanks for your reply.

So, All my brother has to do is send the passport copy and birth certificate certified copy(Which have correct name and DOB) to NVC. Right ?

And my 2nd qes is, along with all the papers, should he also write a letter to NVC stating that he made a mistake in my son's DOB? or he doesnt need to write any explaination ?

Thanks again
