hi , i am almost done with my husband citizen application i just have a one question what i have to select in this question If your biological or legally adoptive mother or father is a U.S. citizen by birth, or naturalized before you reached your 18th birthday, you may already be a U.S. citizen. Visit the USCIS Web site at www.uscis.gov for further information on this topic before you consider filing Form N-400.

1. Were your parents married before your 18th birthday? yes or no

2. Is your mother a U.S. citizen?

   If "Yes," complete the following information.

A. Current Legal Name of U.S. Citizen Mother

No his mom is not USA citizen . I need a answer for were ur parents married before ur 18 th birthday . I don't know if this question only for parents live in USA or for everybody . My husband parents lived in India right now .

The question is for everybody, and not at all related to where the parents live at the moment.

If the parents were married before his 18th birthday, select "Yes". If not, select "No".

If the mother is not a citizen, select "No" for the following question.

If the father is not a citizen, again select "No" for the next question.

Don't fill out the fields for their details if neither of them are citizens.
