Hi Everyone,

I have an Official Indian Passport which contains my F1 Student Visa in it. This Official Passport expired last month so i applied for a Regular Indian Passport and received that last week. I need to travel back to the US on 23/08/2014 to attend classes for the Fall semester. Will i be able to travel with my Expired Official Passport (which contains my Visa) and my new valid Regular Indian Passport? I am concerned because these two passports are of two different types (Official and Regular).

Please get back to me as soon as possible as i do not have much time left.

Thanks!!!

If your visa is still valid you can travel with both passports. That is not an issue. Good luck!

ETA: My presumption is that the visa page in the old passport was not invalidated or otherwise altered in a manner to tamper with the visa.

Thanks for the reply John!

So having two different types (official and regular) of passports wont be an issue?

Thanks

The type of passport will not alter the fact the visa was issued to the holder. If you're still compliant with the conditions of the visa you'll be ok.
