Hi,

I got Naturalized last week as a US Citizen. The whole time in US i never used my middle name anywhere.

The IO put my middle name into my Naturalization certificate.

Now i am filling out a I-129F packet (it is done already actually but it is not sent out yet)

My question is should i use my middle name in the forms now? like I-129F and G-325A. Since it is now in the Naturalization Certificate and i dont have a passport yet so i am including a copy of the Naturalization Certificate with my packet. I would just have to redo those forms mentioned above before sending the packet.

Did anyone have a situation like this?

Thank you!!!

Well if your middle name is part of your legal name, then you should include it if the form asks for it. Usually, it's not required to use one's middle name since a lot of forms only ask for the initial or not at all.

Typically, government forms ask for the middle name so I always put mine. I did however, have two last names, but I only ever used one on my GC, citizenship cert, DL, etc, except my dominican passport. I never had any issues with it. I also know a girl who never used her middle name and that I know, it hasn't caused her issues.

This does not constitute legal advice.
