My fiancé visa has just been posted with go2go  . Her CFO is done, so I'll be booking a flight very soon. She doesn't have a credit card, so I have to anticipate travel costs.

Emirate Air is flying a one stopper with a 4 hr layover in Dubai, then direct to Boston

Since she does not have a credit card, she's going to need to carry cash. How much cash is adequate for travel ?

What fee's do I need to be anticipate ?

Any other things I need to think about regarding her travel ?

At NAIA she will need P1620 for the travel tax and P550 for the terminal fee.

At her lay over she will need some "lunch money", not sure how spendy dubia is. I think $100 would be handy... gotta tip the red caps ya know ;)

Just to add, your fiancee needs to have some extra cash too should there be any excess baggage. In this case, she needs to call the airline to inquire on the current cost, just to be sure she has enough cash for the entire trip.

From my experience, PAL asked for $150 for an extra 23kg luggage last year.

My friend lives in the UAE and was returning from Boston to London with the allowed 2 checked bags, he switched airlines at Heathrow, the second carrier only allowed 1 checked bag, the extra checked baggage fee was $1000

As a believer in the soundness of 'Murphy's Law', she will have enough cash for incidentals, but not enough for a 'Lambo'

I am familiar with the Cebu Air/PAL baggage rules....Thanks

Yeah, costs of excess baggage vary per airline. Just remind her that she can also get her clothes size here in US [ I get mine in the petite or teens section :D], in case she wants to bring "everything".
