NVC is backed up...so, it might be a little while before the packet is sent to Manila. People have been receiving emails from NVC saying that processing could be 60 days!

You can go to the US Embassy Manila website and find requirements for K1 visa processing. Your fiance will have a bit of running around to do to assemble all the docs that they request.

Would suggest holding off on the Med Exam - that's a pretty simple step.

Make sure that she has NOA Birth Certificate, CENOMAR, etc.

Follow this link for more info on the requirements:

Just to add to Ed&Gina's response, give it at least 10 business days from receiving the NOA2 hard copy before you contact NVC because it takes time for files to be received from the service center. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html

- Recently though, it may take between 2-5 weeks before NVC processes an I-129f case file.

When your file has been processed, you will be given a MNL case number. They will also be sending you a letter informing you of this case number and that your files are then en route to the Manila consulate.

The MNL# is all you need for your fiancee to pay the visa application fee in Philippines.

I am 17 business days from NOA2 - NVC still does not have a case number for me. I was told to wait 25 business and check again. I was told it is taking 25 business days for K-1 Visa to be received from TSC and get into the system. The representative specifically asked me if it was a K-1 visa and then gave me the above response.

Anyone here get an NOA2 in mid July and already gotten a case number for NVC?

I will check back with NVC next Friday - that will be 24 business days.

Hello there guys! I just joined this site hoping to learn more about K1 visa. So my fiancé filed ours June 6th 2014 and we received NOA1 June 13th. Then yesterday Aug 4th 2014 we received an email saying that USCIS approved the petition for fiancé(e) and we're just waiting our NOA2's hard copy. What I want know is, do we have to send requirements still to the NVC or I just have to submit the requirements on the day of the interview? Thank you. Hoping to get a response soon☺️

Hello there! We have the same timeline :) I just got approved yesterday and currently waiting for the noa2 hard copy.. I don't think we need to send requirements to the NVC, just wait for the hardcopy and wait for another 25 days so we can call and get the MNL# from the NVC.

Oh great! I was actually thinking about that too cos I haven't read anything about people sending requirements to NVC. I just got so confused and excited after receiving the post-decision that I suddenly don't know what to do. Lol? sooner than expected. Good job TSC!?

So all we need is the mnl # to pay for visa fees?? My friend told me they need the visa invoice number?? What about the affidavit of support

You'll need all the original copies of his financial documents on the day of the interview.
