Hi everyone,

I have a question. We got our I-601 approval notice from USCIS on July 8th 2014,and letter from U.S consulate Montreal on July 17th 2014.They did want me to send updated medical exam ,police certificate and the updated forms with my passport .We did everything and sent them to the consulate with loomis expres ( Markham ) on July 28th.They received it next day.By the way for some reason,it says delivered in Lachine when i track my package from loomis webpage.

I've been checking my MTL number status everyday since the consulate received my documents but it's still refused.Nothing changed. Is it something normal?

Hi there, our waiver was approved in Oct 2013 and we submitted documents to Montreal consulate in nov 2013. Then in jan 2014 our status went from refused to ready to administrative processing. By the way, we still have not gotten our visa issued!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as the Lachine, I was very concerned about that too because obviously that is not the final destination but it turned about to be correct because 2 months later the consulate acknowledged the receipt of our documents.

Please post the progress of your case because I am dying to know if it is normal for montreal to take so long to issue immigrant visa after a waiver approval or that there is some sort of an issue with our case.

Hello, I know this thread is over a year old, but I was just wondering what happened in your cases...I recently received the approval of my i601 waiver and I do not know what to expect from the Montreal Consulate.

Hi there!

I was asked by the montreal consulate on febuary 28th to send my passport and new medical exam and police report after approval of my I601/I212.until now have no answer. I had an urgency i requested my passport so i could go to New York, i was able to enter with my Canadian. This week i was denied entry they say i have to wait for the immigrant visa before i can enter the US.my question is, will this affect my IV application? ??? Anybody in similar situation? ???
