Hi guys!

I was wondering if anyone might know the answer to this:

We sent in our concurrent filing, and have already completed the Biometrics at the appointment date they assigned. Our I-485 Status has also been moved to 'Testing & Interview', but we haven't received an email or text notice that the status has been changed, nor have we received our interview date.

Is it still possible that we may receive an RFE? We only sent in the intending immigrant's translated birth certificate, and not a copy of the original, non-translated one. According to some research on visajourney, it seems like people have been getting an RFE for not submitting the original, non-translated version as well as the translated version of the Birth Certificate.

Thank you!

To my understanding, once you get to "testing and interview" you are in the process of getting your interview scheduled. By the way I never received any email/txt about the new status but got the interview letter about 5 weeks later once my status (approx) changed.

As far as RFE for not submitting original, USCIS will never require you to send any original into them. You are required to bring originals to your interview but never via mail.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info!

By original, i mean a copy of the original, non-translated version of the intending immigrants birth certificate. We only sent in the translated BC, and not the non-translated one, but now that I've looked into a bit more, it seems like we needed to send the original as well, as people have been getting RFEs for not doing so
