What next after ds-260?

Hi, i have filed for my spouse through i30. my question is what is the next step after you file AOS? I have already sent the $88 fee and sent in my AOS last week. will they send me some sort of confirmation that they have recieved it? And how long does it usually take after you sent in AOS before they give you a interview date. Thanks!

No they do not send you any confirmation they accepted it. What is next? Well when did you submit the DS-261? That is what generates the IV fee ($230) and you send in your IV Package. Once AOS and IV package and DS-260 is all accepted then you will get case complete and be put in the interview queue

You have no flag/country up or timeline so no one can tell you an estimate of wait time . Every embassy if different.

Since you just sent AOS its at least 30 business days to review and accept. Same for IV, and Ds-261.

Hi thanks for your reply. I sent in my ds-261 a week ago. The country will be India. So i would need to check the website to see if link for the fee and IV pacakage is available?

Yes its taking also about 30 days to review and accept DS-261 (maybe less) then the IV fee is invoiced you pay that and send in IV Documents. So keep eye on portal. Don't just wait for NVC to email you the IV info you will probably see invoiced before they send email.

Congratulations you are almost done. And India is pretty quick and they started 2 months ago two round of interviews about 2 weeks apart so scheduling interview is all about timing.

September scheduling will start this week. So you will be in queue more than likely for October Interview depending on when you get Case Complete.
