Has anyone used RapidVisa to help do paperwork - $375 -$450 for K-1? Is it worth it. I know some want $1,000 (CB), I don't want to screw things up.

Depends on how comfortable you are doing paperwork. If you can complete a few forms and such you can do this.

We use rapid and they are legit. But also you need to do some extra research on your own to make things easier. Paperworks we dont have any problem cause they prepare it for us. If you think your situation is not complicated and dont need legal matters then no need to have an attorney.

Try filling out the forms yourself, if you get overwhelmed or think its too much, then decide if you want to ask questions here or pay someone. Its pretty easy once you get into it, self explanatory.

We did it all ourselves. As have many here.

I used rapid, but you are still filling the paper work out yourself. the reason i went with rapid is they organize everything and review and they are a phone call away for you and your lady,, any question you have they are always there to help,,,,, but vj is always here also.. evryone here is very helpful.. i work 16 hours a day so i did get rapid visa because i just do not have anytime to do a lot of the organizing..

Well, Rapidvisa is essentially like hiring a lawyer online for slightly less money... as everyone else said, if you are comfortable with organizing paperwork you should be able to do this yourself... a lawyer friend of mine once offered to help with the K1 application for $500 and the interview/medical prep once approved for $350... I was close to hiring him until I found this site (I was googling "easiest way to file for K1 visa" and visajourney was one of the top results hehe.

I filed K1 without using a lawyer and just followed instructions here on VJ, and generously front-loaded the application. Submitted 02/29/2014, received NOA 2 on April... Right now we're just waiting for the rest of the 2-month sputum culture and crossing our fingers that we'll be together by October...

If you file yourself you have more control over the time and the submission of documents. On the other hand, if you miss something, it's all on you

Front loading for sure is not needed for the K-1 at USEM.
