So i check the copy of the AOS he submitted..

My freaking lawyer put 2 on part3 item7 where it ask ENTER TOTAL NUMBER OF IMMIGRANTS YOU ARE SPONSORING ON THIS FORM FROM ITEMS 1through 6

And put 2 for part 5 item 1 where it ask ENTER THE NUMBER YOU ENTERED ON LINE 7 of part 3 yeah it matches but the mistakes he made he added my other kids name on part 3 item 2.a DO NOT INCLUDE ANY RELATIVE LISTED ON A SEPARATE VISA PETITION meaning he should have made one for each kids putting 1 on that part3item7...

I called NVC talked to a supervisor and verified and he said two separate aos for two kids put 1 on part3item 7 ..

So i fired him... Hahah not yet coz its the weekend anyway. My question is how long do they review the RFE once they received it. I was granted an expedite in the nvc level only after all documents are received and reviewed.... Thanks and hope this serves a lesson even if you are careful , someone is bound to messed it up...

Wow. I am sorry to hear that. I hired a lawyer for my immigrant visa (IR-1). Everything went smoothly. I retained her on July 13, 2013. I got my immigrant visa on July 3, 2014. My visa application was the traditional outland sponsorship (Canada), and NOT and "AOS". Anyone who wants to hire a lawyer to immigrate to the USA should really hire a US lawyer - moreover, make sure he / she is an AILA lawyer (My lawyer was an AILA lawyer and a former USCIS/INS inspector and a trial attorney). It is worth every penny.

I also got almost the same checklist so I called NVC about it and the guy I spoke with told me that my kids can bring the missing or new AOS on thier interview coz that was my concern it will take another 30 days or so to review the docs again.

I tried to tell him that being a typhoon victim and we need to be state side by september but i guess he was firm about it but i am gonna try to persuade him again if i still get a hold of the same guy. Thanks for the idea !

Question!!!

Since my husband is petitioning two kids..part3 item 7 for each kids would be 1 right?

Then on part5 sponsors household..item 1 is 1, item 2 is 1, should we put 1 on item 3 where it ask any dependents for the second child to make the total household size 4?
