Once you do biometrics, you're put in line for an interview date.
The interview date probably depends on where you live.
If it's a densely populated area such as NYC, then it will take a long time.
If it's rural in the middle of nowhere, then it will be much quicker.

Best thing to do would be to login to your account on the USCIS website, see when your application was last updated and at what stage you're at.

If you're not in line for an interview, then contact USCIS.

It would also be a good idea to compare yourself to others that sent the application at the same time you did...

I had to wait over 2 months between my biometrics appointment and any kind of update... Apart from joining the end of the line for interview scheduling.

Just a couple of days ago, I got a text/email saying I am now scheduled for an interview,

WOO!

Ok, but have not yet got the notice in the mail. Even my online account doesn't say what the date of the interview is... It's a bit of a long haul. :cry:
