I'm going to apply for a Citizenship but I had a Public Intoxication arrested back in 2006. I was placed in Dallas Police station jail overnight and released in the morning with a Fine Ticket in amount of $395. How do i fill out the form N-400 ? Do I need to submit the Misdemeanor, Felony Record and Dallas Police Record Report certified along with the form N-400. Does the Public Intoxication charge will effect my Citizenship application ? Please help me !!!

Additional information

Should I attach the Certificate of Disposition along with form N-400 or bring the Certificate of disposition at the interview day ?

Most important thing is do not try to hide this fact. Definitely attach the certificate of disposition. If you do not, they will find this in your record anyway and you could be denied. Remember, the decision is always left to the USCIS discretion.

Also, you absolutely MUST submit as much proof as possible of having good moral character. A letter from employer, neighbor, colleague, would be great. Also, try to get involved in some volunteer work. Show that you are a good person. Any letter you attach as reference for your character should state specifically that you are a good person, because xyz.

There is no statute of limitations for crimes involving moral terpitude (drunkennes is an issue for USCIS). So anything in your past that you think might not be relevant, absolutely IS.
