I lived in Canada for about six years and one of the benefits there is that residents don't have to pay for water. The government.takes what they need and let the rest run out into the ocean. More odd than that, the Canadians I knew (and I ran a 200 unit loft complex for several years) they actually believe that someday the US is going show up one day and claim all the water and give them no choice. When I asked how they thought the US would be able to pull that off many of thought we would use guns if we had to but that we would do whatever it took to take control of the water and charge them high prices to use it.

They also expected Americans to use the word "huh?" the way they use "'eh?"

All in all it was an enjoyable experience.

Then what were all those Hydro Quebec bills I got every month when I lived there? :goofy: Ohh wait, that was electric.

We don't pay for water either. We pay someone to purify it and deliver it to our homes.

As for the Gov't letting water run to the Ocean. We have rivers here, that do that and have been for millions of years without the Govt's help.
