Hi thanks for the info,,,is there any other requirements ask aside from those basic requirements? Did they ask for any health insurance from you during the interview day? I'm getting ready to petition my mom and somebody said that during the inteview the CO will ask for proof of health insurance before they give the approval. TIA

Click the link below in my signature - IR5 Guideline and NVC Wiki. The Wiki is very helpful, so read through it.

I have not heard of a health insurance being asked during the interview. Plus we cannot really say how or why your friend's parent was asked without knowing their specific situation,

From what i've been seeing around in timelines of other VJ members, looks like IR5 process takes between 5 months to a year (or more) depending on your situation or how prepared you are with the documents and what nots.

hi, i petitioned my parents separately. i chose myself as the agent and i paid AOS fee of $88 online for both. when i checked the status of my father, it showed that i paid the AOS, and so i printed the Cover Sheet. then i checked my mother's status, and at first it showed termination. so i called the NVC and all they told me was that to submit affidavit of support documents because thats the next step they said. but when i tried checking online, to see if i can print a Cover sheet for her, it wont let me print it, so i called the NVC again, and they said theyre going to send me my mother's cover sheet in the mail...I was just wondering why it showed termination at first, then why it wont let me print the cover sheet. maybe because when i paid 88 dollars, it automatically paid hers too? I am just curious.

Also, i filled out the I-864 form for each separately and this may sound stupid, but i may as well ask before i make mistakes.

- what do you put on the rectangular box on part 1 item 1?

- father's form: on part 5, item 1 i entered 1 in the box (my father), item 2 its automatically 1 (myself), then item 3 i entered 1 (spouse) and on item 8 i entered 3 as the total... Is this correct??? i just want to make sure... i shouldnt include my mother, since i will fill her form out separately, right?

-Part 6 item 5 i entered my current estimated annual income but then i read on the instructiions that i have to enter the amount again on item 6.a. as current income, should i leave the item 6.a. and just enter NA on it, since im just using my own annual income? im confused...

- item 10, should i enter the income i entered on item 5 (my individual annual income)

- item 13 should i check this? did u all check this part? i was thinking id check this one.

i would appreciate anyone's help regarding this matter. thank you. ???
