Hey guys. Been a bit puzzled about this

I know with the K1, it gets mailed off and then you get told when it leaves the US and arrives in your home country to do your interview and such. And that you are notified each step of the way and know where the paperwork is at .

But with AOS, I'm not as sure. Does everybody get sent to Nebraska now ?

-At what point does your AOS leave Nebraska? After biometrics?

-And also, are we updated when it does get sent to local office (or CSC, if they still do that?)

-And am I correct in thinking EAD and AP don't get transferred to local office and are processed elsewhere?

I'm just wondering if someone can shed some light on this. This process is a mystery compared to the K1 :P

(Also as bonus question, is SLC really a slow office? :c )

It seems they are sending AOS cases to Nebraska as of recently, but no word about the workload transfers on the USCIS as of yet > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/500042-aos-transferred-to-nebraska-anyone-else/

They used to all get sent to the NBC and get approved there without interview or sent to your local USCIS office for interview. They stopped sending them to the CSC quite a while ago.

You are correct. The EAD and AP are processed separately and not sent to the local USCIS office.
