Divorce papers

I am just starting to put together my packet. The check list for the K-1 visa that I viewed on this site said to submit copies of divorce decree's. My fiancé is from Vietnam and was once married. Do I need to have her divorce decree translated into English? or a copy of the original and she can translate a copy to attach to the original? What exactly are they looking for? Thank you

You will need to submit a certified copy or the original (sometimes you can submit a copy at first but they will ask to see the original at some point) You will also need a certified translated copy, she cannot do it herself. I used Rev.com, i send them a picture or a scanned copy of the document, they are fairly cheap and have a 24 hour turnaround and will email the docs back to you. There needs to be a translation as well as a letter from the translator stating that it is certified etc. Rev.com provides this.

No originals just copies for submmition of petition... U will need to send a copy of it and a translated one as well. Original you will bring to interview.
