biometrics.re-scheduling..pls help

my son has his biometrics appoinment today at 8 AM but we were not able to appear because snow storm in Portland so most of the roads there are closed..I tried to call the 1-800 phone to talk to customer service but I can't get through and wasn't able to talk with somebody..we're woorying that they might considered it as abandoned case..

pls, help us what are things that we should do? it's past 8 is it considered to be an abandoned case?

10-07-2006- AOS sent to Chicago

10/13/2006- USCIS received AOS

10/20/2006- Received NOA in the mail

10/23/2006- Received Biometrics Appoinment in the mail

10/31/2006- Biometrics Appoinment in Portland, Oregon

11/13/2006- Received Appoinment Letter for Initial Interview

01/03/2007- Initial Interview at Seattle

01/04/2007- Received an email from Cris regarding approval

01/12/2007- Another email from regarding ordering of Green card.

01/12/2007- Recieved Welcome Notice

01/13/2007- Green card arrived...yahoo!

My Son's AOS

11/14/2006- AOS sent to Chicago

11/24/2006- Rejection Notice and AOS package received from Chicago

12/19/2006- AOS re-sent to Chicago

01/03/2007- Received NOA in the mail

01/13/2007- Biometrics appoinment letter

01/16/2007- Biometrics at Portland, Oregon

01/23/2007- Received Appoinment Letter for Initial Interview

01/24/2007- Biometrics done

03/08/2007- Initial Interview at Seattle

03/15/2007- Received Welcome notice

03/18/2007- Green card arrived..yipee!

Yes, I can see why you might have missed the appt. Are you located close to any public transportation around the city that you can get onto to get there? I'm sure they will understand considering the conditions. I'm not sure which office does do the biometrics in Portland - haven't gotten to that stage yet, but I'm sure if you are close enough to Portland, then to possibly get there at some point during the day. No point in speeding, and load your veicle down with salt or sand bags for extra weight. Also carry chains. Sucks for this to happen today. I'll be sending good vibes to you.

check the appointment letter. they generally have a section about going for the appointment after the scheduled date. i belive it's 3-4 months after the date. for instance mine indicated i could go to the office any wednesday after my appointment date.

You have time to correc this/ Check your letter for instructions on rescheduling. I was scheduled for January 3, couldn't make it and sent back my letter with a request for a new time (which is set us for Jan 20). If there are no instructions regarding rescheduling, you can try calling the 1-800 number again or make an info pass appointment.

02/09/2005-------Sent in request to Congressional office for assistance with expediting EAD.

02/13/2007 -------- EAD Approved!

02/26/2007 - ------EAD received

Removal of Conditions:

05/12/2009 -- Overnighted application by USPS express mail (VSC).

05/14/2009 -- Green Card expired.

05/23/2009 --- Check cleared bank.

05/26/2009 -- Received NOA (NOA date May 15, 2009, guess they aren't deporting me).

05/29/2009- Biometrics Notice date

06/01/2009- Received Biometrics Letter

06/18/2009 - Biometrics

09/23/2009 - date of decision to approve (letter received), just waiting for card. No online updates whatsoever.
