Hello everyone!

I am new to this forum but find it very helpful. I appreciate everyone's help in advance!

I am currently in line for interview for my N-400 application. I just have become concerned after reading a few forums and couldn't find answer to my question. Here is the deal:

I got my GC through political asylum and since then has left the US twice for short trips abroad (not the country of persecution). I used a Refugee Travel Document for both trips. I listed both trips on my application and there shouldn't be any problem with that. The issue that I have is this, if they want to see ALL travel documents issues by USCIS I won't be able to provide that simply because Travel Documents are only valid for 1 year and have to be returned before new one can be issued. So, I traveled for the first time with original RTD; I renewed the travel document a few years after for the second trip and returned the original to USCIS. I still have the renewed one, which expired a long time ago.

Here is the question, does USCIS keep the old RTDs? I don't have a proof of travel for the 1st trip now and I am not sure if this will be an issue or not.

Thanks again in advance for any help!

If the old document has to be returned before the new one can be issued then USCIS will understand that; it shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you, Hypnos, for your response. That was my original chain of thoughts. I just can't find any info on this.... Thanks!
