My fiancee opened the brown envelope that we now know must remain sealed to give to the POE officer. He is on a flight to Chicago in about 4 hours and we are a bit nervous now. Has this ever happened to anyone? How upset are they going to be with him? Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Why did he go and do that???? If he seals it real good I dont think that they will notice because the immigration officer at my POE didnt even look at the seal he just ripped it open. On the other hand he may notice it and not alow him in the country. Its 50-50 I hope for your sake he is let through.

Good luck :/ What will happen will happen, but from what I've heard this is generally not a good thing. I've told my boyfriend already to NOT open the envelope (even though we just started the process). For your sake, I hope he gets in anyway. Sorry, don't mean to worry you, but that really sucks.
