I-131 - How big of explanation/evidence do they want?

OK,

So I am on my last form here before I apply for AOS. And the I-131 form states that I must attach any "evidence or explanation showing the circumstances that warrant issuance of an AP." So, in Part 4 - Information about proposed travel - I just want to write that in case of emergency at home in Canada I would like to be able to get home. Is this a valid enough reason? Or are they going to be wanting more. And I chose the box for intending to use for "more than one trip."

Would they even accept the fact that I just want to eventually be able to go home and visit if my GC takes forever. Is that too much to ask?

What did everyone else type into this? Or is even Part 4 applicable to me?

I've not gotten to that part of the process yet, but according to the section on Advance Parole in the Nolo Press Book Fiance & Marriage Visas:

"The form you'll complete will ask you to attach a page explaining how you qualify for Advance Parole and why your application deserves to be approved. This explanation doesn't need to be very long. You can simply right your name and A number at the top of the page and then say something like this: 'I qualify for Advance Parole because I am the spouse of a U.S. citizen awaiting my adjustment of status interview. I would like to travel to my native country to visit my sister, whom I haven't seen in years and who has just had a baby.'"

I'm not sure what I'll put -- my husband-to-be just wants to be able to return once in a while to visit his folks for a week or so. I'm also curious as to what others have put and were granted AP.

All we put was "in case of family emergency", we didn't elaborate at all. We were approved. :)
