K-1 visa medical question vaccinations

Hello all

Are the vaccination necessary for the medical portion of the K-1 visa process harmful to unborn babies ?

I was told my fiancée cannot get pregnant (within 6 month) if she gets vaccinated or if she is already pregnant she cannot do the vaccinations.

Would be grateful for any advice.

No live virus vaccinations while pregnant. You really should consult with your doctor before having ANY vaccinations.

does that mean we should terminate the visa process. she is now pregnant and we will most likely get our NOA2 and interview date within the next 2-4 months?

or will she be excused from doing the vaccinations(since she is pregnant)?

we will be consulting with her physicians asap.

do you know how many vaccinations there are?

The panel doctor is God. He decides how much of what vaccinations she needs.

Is she pregnant? The doctor will make proper adjustments if she is pregnant so no need to worry.

You do not need to terminate the process. You shouldn't have to receive the vaccine based on the fact "There is a medical reason why it would not be safe to have the vaccine."

Also, you should consult with your obstetrician before the medical and have him/her write a note to the civil surgeon explaining why you can or can't have any vaccinations. That's what we did.
