Hi everyone. I was approved for a K1 Visa last May 5, I guess I'm just too excited to have it with me but when I called the Embassy, I was told by the agent that my visa is still with the embassy. The the agent told me not to book any tickets yet because there's no exact turn around time when my visa will be delivered. I don't want to panic but we already booked our tickets; my fiance will be flying here in the Philippines and we'll leave together on the 24th of July.

Can anyone share their experience please. Is this normal?

Yup totally normal and also why the embassy has that statement in the embassy instructions letter and why they told you the same thing when you called, it can take weeks before you see your visa (or for some a month or more):

Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your
job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you. Generally, a one-entry fiancé(e) (K1) nonimmigrant
visa is valid for six months from the date of issuance, unless its validity is limited by medical or other
restrictions.
