Hello,

I have intended to go to Canada for my studies beginning in september 2015. Knowing I stand a chance in the DV Lottery for 2015 and my interview will be held around December, could I still do my interview in Canada or I have to come back to my native country ? If I may pass the interview in Canada, would the interview still be offered in multiple languages such as French ?

You can have an interview in Canada as long as you are resident there. When you submit your 260 form you should either the correct current address (with the choice of embassy in that location) and that can be changed later. Once you move you update that to KCC - who will need a few weeks to record that change. They have been known to screw that up - so I would actually recommend delaying your 260 form until you have moved. Again - it needs about 4 weeks minimum to be processed before they schedule the interview so that could cause a slight delay depending on when you get that to them (December interviews will be scheduled in mid October).

You can do the interviews in English or the local official language - so French is acceptable for Canada.
