I864 and I864A confusion!!!

Hi everyone,

I would appreciate any response to my situation. I am bit confused.

So, I am a GC holder, student, trying to bring my spouse to US. My brother was sponsor for my spouse since I do not have any income. My brother filled 864 and earns 24k . My spouse went for interview and they told bring another cosponsor or have a bank statement of 50k . Now, my mom earns about 22k. She is willing to co-sponor along with my brother. Which form would she fill both 864 and 864A? And I do not have any forms do any of the forms need to be filled again? Since, the embassy has everything.

And I do not understand how 24k is not sufficient and would combining their income be sufficient? since both of them have no dependent ? And their permanent address is same as me.

Any help appreciated.

12/06/2013- AOS package arrived at NVC

12/27/2013- RFE RECEIVED

1/13/2014- AOS PACKAGE ARRIVED

Feb 2014- Case Completed

they Can't Combine Incomes unless one is a dependent of the other one which seems this is not the case, or do they both live in the same house?

08/03/2018 - Received 18 month extension letter. (Day 501)

09/01/2018 - Submitted N400! (Day 530)
