The official certified copy of my marriage certificate that was distributed by the town office has a total of 9 pages.

Page 1 – Main info (made translation)

Page 2 – Witness info (made translation)

Page 3 – Page for marrying a foreigner (made translation)

Page 4 – Cover copy of my passport (made translation of some Japanese at bottom of page)

Page 5 – Main info page copy of my passport – (no translation needed)

Page 6 – Visa stamp page copy of my passport – (no translation needed)

Page 7 – Single Affidavit for Marriage English page (no translation needed)

Page 8 – Single Affidavit for Marriage Japanese page (no translation needed (?)

Page 9 – Page with information stating that this certified copy was issued on 4/9/2014 and that it is authentic (made translation)

As you can see, I have 5 pages that have accompanying translation sheets out of the 9. When I put the packet together, how should I attach them all? Should I try to replicate the original as best as possible by making copies of the pages that didn’t require translation or should I just include the 5 that have translations?

Also, how should I label the translation pages? For example, if at the bottom of the translation pages I type “translation for marriage certificate, page x of y” should I put the number of total pages in the original as “y” (9) or should I put the number of pages that were actually translated in the case that I don’t print copies of pages that don’t need translations (5)?

For the Single Affidavit of Marriage pages, the 2 forms were official forms from the Embassy. The Japanese version has no English on it though. They are stapled next to each other in the certificate but will the people at USCIS know that the page before it is actually the translation of it? Do I need to make some kind of notes page in the packet to explain this just in case? I wouldn’t want a RFE for something that is already translated on an official embassy form.

I know it’s a lot of questions but I just want to make sure I do this right the first time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
