Is there a way to email the London US Embassy? Will they answer questions about documentation for the interview?

I'm not sure if they'll answer your question (perhaps someone else can shed some light on that), but it's worth a try.

I have emailed a couple of times and they have responded within 5 days. Don't know if they will answer questions about interview documentation as that can be found on their website. Nothing to stop you trying though.

October 22, 2013: Mailed I-129F Packet

November 1, 2013: NOA1 email and text

November 4, 2013: Alien registration number changed

November 20, 2013: NOA2

December 19, 2013: Case forwarded to London Embassy

January 2, 2014: Packet 3 Received

February 7, 2014: Medical

March 13, 2014: Interview

I also emailed them with a couple questions and they got back to me in about three days if I recall correctly.

I tried calling and I can't get anyone to answer. It is all automated.
