I know this is a dumb question but i need to ask u people though.. :lol:

For those beneficiary/s in the PHILIPPINES..where did u took the photo ID for your form DS-230 part I?

I am having a hard time looking for a studio who can follow the photo instructions in the packet :help: . Darn! I already have visa photo ID's taken but i am not satisfied with the outcome.. :wacko:

hi BOO! nope..i didn't use it coz my hubby not comfortable with it ..i insisted before too because we've been waiting so long and still he didn't allow me. He wants to follow everything what NVC instructed us so that every step will result to what w e really wanted.

And be accurate and sure in every step of the way. :thumbs:

If I may ask, you say you cannot find a place that will follow the instructions in the packet. Does your packet say that Passport photos are needed? My Instruction packet has nothing saying that passport photos are needed anywhere in it. Itried calling NVC to ask if photos are needed, but never got thru. Are you sure you need photos now, and not at the embassy interview? I guess i am confused with you saying your packet saying they are needed for NVC

you need passport photos to be paste/glued on your DS-156 during your visa interview. You need two because you have to submit 2 copies of DS-156. They will not let you in if your forms dont have pictures.

Just as I had suspected, as I thought I had called NVC and asked them that specifically. I just dont want some one else to read this post and think that passport photos are needed at NVC. Now that I think about it, I think I was worried about that and called them. So now I have saved the entire DS-230 packet in a file, and no passport photos are needed. So if you run across anyone else who needs to see what is in the Ds-230 packet for the Phil's I have it saved in a word file. Ths DS-230 form is not there as it is a PDF file, but the entire packet I have witht the instructions, cover letter,.... everything. Thanks for reassuring me on that. God Bless and thanks again. We are on day 18 today and our e-mail said it will be 2 to 4 weeks until we receice a reply as to being complete or not. So I hope in the next 2 weeks we will be done, but I am not holding my breath. Thanks..... :thumbs::wacko:

HI!

My husband still going to call NVC for a concrete answer about the box on the upper left corner of the first page of DS-230 part I..what's this box for? My hubbie believes that it's for a certain stamp that NVC would marked as they finished it and case completed but still he needs to call for confirmation.

I'll keep you guys updated about this thing. :rolleyes:

PS. I misuderstood that box..so i came of an idea that it's for a space designated for VISA photo ID..sorry about that... :lol:

I agree with those that have said the photos are not sent to the NVC. Pictures are not mentioned in the NVC instructions. They are however mentioned in the requirements sent by the consulate in packet 4. Here is an excerpt from the NVC instructions, assuming I can get the picture attached correctly.
