Well, I thought I would fix that piece of china that was accidentally broken during our Christmas party. I also felt good about the 6 pack of super glue I picked up for .99 cents..... See a problem yet?

So I decided to get started by using the cap to pierce the aluminum seal on the first tube and "Whoosh", the glue squirted all over my hand.....summarily gluing all my fingers together.. I thought, oh sh!t...

Then my wife was like, try my nail polish remover (containing acetone).. Well, that got about half of it off and unstuck my fingers. The rest will need to be scraped off over the next few days.

Advice: Don't by the cheap liquid super glue, buy the gel.... Hope the advice helps!

drug store nail polish remover contains acetone...but you can go get pure acetone which will sort you out. You can get some at a hardware store or a professional beauty supply, lol

Thanks Lisa, I will give that a go. The pure acetone product.

Yes Lisa is right get some acetone. But I strongly suggest if you smoke, let it dry off your hand frist or you will have a more painful injury

take care

It dries instanly...it's a very harsh product

As a Hairstylist, I always used superglue if I cut my finger. It sealed the cut and I didn't have to use a band-aid. A band-aid is a pain and gets in the way when I am working. I found it would peel off after a day or a good long soak in the tub.

Been there done that!

Hey I heard that super glue was used to stick together wounds in WW2...I wonder if there is any truth in it???

We use a machine at work that has a really sharp blade, and one or my coworker cut his finger really deep once. He is a vet in Paraguay, hes working as a technician with us. Well, the next day he came back and said he threw some surgical super glue on it.....it healed good!

edit: sorry was browsing didnt see this thread was 3 months old!
